Leadership Coaching
Learning the skills and behaviors to succeed in my leadership role…
This process could be initiated by the client’s manager or the client themselves. The time span is generally shorter in duration than mentoring and the scope is more specific. Many times, specific feedback from 360 assessments or preparation for moving to a new role are the genesis of a coaching engagement. Different than mentoring, the client’s manager will likely be involved in setting the scope and receiving feedback on progress. Nevertheless, our Navigator will make every attempt to create an open and appropriate dialog with the mentee.
The engagement may include the following: ensuring ownership of desired changes, reviewing together a relevant leadership book, setting goals and reviewing progress, role play of new behaviors/skills, experimenting with new approaches, and seeking feedback from team members.
Our Navigator will draw from his own extensive leadership experiences (both successes and lessons learned), as well as other resources and leaders from time to time.
