The Navigator's Story
Scott Foster
Founder - Lead Navigator
Welcome to my cyber-home. What follows is a short biographical sketch about me.
My wife Kim and I started this venture after a long season of listening and discovery. As sometimes happens near mid-life, I looked up from the mad dash of life and started to ask questions like ‘why do I do this’, ‘what drives me’, ‘who am I’, and ‘why am I here’. The following awkward silence signaled the start of a new chapter of reflection, redirection, and eventually a clarifying focus. As I surveyed my professional career, it became clear that helping other leaders reach toward their potential has always been a part of who I am. If we invest any time together you will get get a strong sense of the "other".

Everything I have done through many years of professional and community/ministry work has prepared me to do this. Once I started down this path I knew that I could not pursue this calling from within the confines of the corporate world, so Sage Navigation was born. Now driven by something deep within me, I desire to walk with other leaders on their journey until I am no longer able to do so.

My professional experience includes three major companies (one public and two private) over the last 3 decades, managerial responsibility of groups from 3 to 75 people, and roles in a broad array of disciplines providing a diverse business perspective and skill set. Click on the LinkedIn icon in the right margin for further details about my work and educational experience. Since joining the work force I have also been active in community and faith-based organizations performing roles of direct leadership, board governance, consulting, and mentoring leaders/ministers.
I have had the privilege of many mentors over my life, including Wes Roberts, founder of Leadership Design Group, as both mentee and apprentice for the last 10 years including recognition of becoming a Master Mentor in 2017. I truly look forward to serving my community, businesses, organizations, and individuals as a very young sage growing into an older sage through the decades ahead and maybe I just might get to journey for a while with you.
